If U Care Share are a regional charity suicide prevention charity
that provides a range of services fundamental to their three
main aims of prevention, intervention and supporting those
bereaved by suicide.
The charity are proud to launch their annual campaign: Inside Out where they ask supporters, corporate partners, members of the public and media to wear an item of clothing Inside Out.
Over the month of September, everyone can make a difference by
going Inside Out -sparking conversations around mental health and
helping prevent suicide.
Its easy to take part in the campaign- just wear an item of clothing
Inside Out anytime across the month in support of World Suicide
Prevention Day on the 10th September!
Matthew Smith, CEO of IFUCS commented:
“The Inside Out campaign is now in its eight year and this year it is
more important than ever to raise awareness of the issues we face
both regionally and as a society.
“We have seen an increase of 300 per cent in the need for our
services since the outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020 and as a
charity we are here to support communities, save lives and prevent
suicide and we want as many people across the UK to take up the
challenge and go inside out this year with us.
“Feeling helpless, worthless or hopeless are common feelings
associated with feeling suicidal and often those thoughts can be
overwhelming and prevent you from feeling anything else.
“With pressures like the cost-of-living crisis impacting individuals and
families, it is more important than ever to encourage people close to
us to talk about their feelings and access the support that is
available.
We have everyone from Football Clubs and Celebrities through to
myself and those we support taking part in our Inside Out campaign
this year and we would love for you to join us.”
